Abigail Veress

History

• Biography

  History:
  Born and raised devote catholic, Veress had during her youth planned on
  dedicating her life to God. A car bomb in the center of Dublin Square changed all
  that. Enjoying a summer holiday with her family when she was 15, a car bomb
  exploded several meters from where they stood, instantly killing both Mother and
  Father. Her younger brother Seth was next to her and absorbed most of the concussion.
  Veress ended the day with only minor cuts and bruising, while Seth was made paralyzed.
  The militant group Grinding Gears claimed responsibility, a claim later refuted by their
  leader as a way of casting the group in a bad light.
  
  The ordeal changed her outlook on life. Once happy and content, she became dark
  and brooding. Vowing to learn the truth, she left school and began to study the Steampunk
  ways. Joining various offshoots, she picked up what skills they had to offer and moved on
  to the next. By the time her teen years came to a close, Varess was knowledgeable in
  small arms, heavy weapons, disguise, hand to hand combat, and was a level 3 mechanical
  technician.
  
  Her movements had not gone unnoticed. At 20 the secret steampunk society known as
  Magistrate had recruited her into their ranks.
